Grandpa's Hat

Grandpa and Grandma Wicklund surprised us with a short visit yesterday. Connor tried out Grandpa's hat.

New Swing

We picked up this Swing/Slide from the classifieds in the newspaper the other day. Connor seems to like it. He likes playing with the steering wheel...our little race car driver. It's not very big so we'll have to see come fall if we move it in the house for him to play on.

Parade

Yesterday, Connor and I went to the Glenwood Waterama parade with Grandma & Grandpa Wicklund. Mark decided to stay home and mow the lawn and get a few things done. Connor fell asleep about 3/4 of the way thru the parade. Too much excitement I guess.

Watching the bagpipe players pretty closely.

Amanda and Megan

Dave and Janelle and girls are in the area vacationing this week. They stopped over on Tuesday and we went fishing for a few hours. Sorry, I forgot my camera so there are no fishing photos. But, when we got back from fishing....I snapped a few of Amanda and Megan feeding Connor his vegetables.

7 Months Old

Connor turned 7 months old this past Tuesday, the 22nd. He weighs 19 lbs. He has two teeth...well almost. His first front one on the bottom is almost completely there and the second one just broke through his gums. He is back to his normal self again after his bout with his new teeth. He has started eating food again. Yeah!

His "screaming at a rock concert" wild side!

Seriously Mom, how many pictures do we actually need?

Izzabelle's 1st Birthday Party

This past weekend we went to my sister, Bon and her husband, Joe's for Izzabelle's 1st birthday. A fun weekend was had by all. Following are a few pictures from the weekend.
Bon, Joe, and Izzabelle. Sorry Joe, but in all my pictures your eyes are shut.

New wheels

We found ourselves a new jogging stroller. It works really nice on the gravel driveway.

Last Friday night we went and visited Mark's parents. Mark's brother, Dave, and his family were also there. Here Connor is playing with Dave, Amanda, and their dog, Copper. Connor got a kick out of Copper and also received a few toe licks.

Izzabelle's Birthday

Today is Connor's cousin, Izzabelle's, 1st birthday.
We send her Happy Birthday wishes!

Here is a picture of a deer that crossed our driveway yesterday just in front of our house.
I took this picture thru one of our front windows.

Connor is slowly coming around after his bout with his new tooth. He is starting to talk more again. Still eats just his milk. Doesn't want anything to do with his food yet.

Frodermann Family Reunion

This past Sunday we went to the Frodermann family reunion at the Okabena park.

The children of August and Sena Frodermann. My Grandma, Adeline, is in the front row...second from the right in the green and black shirt.

The Great-Grandchildren of August and Sena Frodermann. I am in the second row, third from the left. My sister Mel is in the second row, far left and my sister Crystal is in the third row, second from left.

Connor still not feeling well and napping in his stroller while at the reunion.

A Week at Grandma and Grandpa Bass'

Last week Connor and I stayed down at my Mom and Dad's while Mark went to Dallas, Texas for work. He went home on Sunday night and flew out Tuesday morning to Dallas. He flew back into Minneapolis on Friday morning and then came back to Okabena to pick us up and for the weekend. During the week, my Mom and I took Connor to JCPenney's to have his 6 month picture taken. We did get a nice one of him smiling, although that is the day he started feeling sick. I think he started getting his second bottom front tooth last Thursday. He ran a fever for a few days and just wasn't himself. Tired, sleepy, only drinking his milk and wanting nothing to do with food, crying and whiny (Ick!), not talking and smiling like he usually does and clinging to Mom...alot! He still is not normal yet today. His fever is gone, but he still is tired and not his smily, talkative self. I can see the white of his new tooth on his gums, so I hope this stage is on it's way out.

4th of July

We are home once again. We have been gone since the 3rd of July. We went to Okabena for the 4th of July. We went to the parade. My Dad, Vern, and my uncle Verl were in the parade. Verl is the Commander of the Legion in Okabena and my Dad is the Commander for SAL (Sons of American Legion). After the parade we hit the park where they have foodstands and games, etc. Connor and Izzabelle rode the train in the park after the parade. I rode with them since my sister, Bon, said she couldn't sit in the small car with her pregnant belly. :) So I was nominated. We rode around the tennis court pulled by the Okabena train that has been around since I can remember. First time I ever remember actually riding in the train. Izzabelle tried her luck at the fish pond with the help of Grandma. She got a pink clapper thing and was pretty excited. That night we watched the fireworks from the ball field in Okabena. Mark and I and Connor sat in the outfield on our blanket. Wasn't sure how Connor was going to take the fireworks, but he did pretty well. He sat on Mark's lap and watched them pretty closely and then after a while I laid him on his back next to Mark and he watched them from laying down while drinking his bottle. No crying or screaming or anything. I was kinda surprised.

Grandma and Grandpa come to visit

This past weekend my Mom and Dad came to visit us. They brought us nice pails of strawberries from the berry farm in Heron Lake. Mmm! I think I could've eaten the whole pail. Grandpa thought it was funny to let Connor check the berries too. Needless to say, I took them away before we had too much of a mess.
On Sunday we went to a parade and then in the afternoon we went fishing. Caught some nice sunnies and bass. This is Connor's second time fishing. His first time fishing was in February when we took him out to the fish house and went ice fishing, but this time he got to try out his Snoopy life jacket. We went over to Mark's Great Uncle's lake. They have a pontoon that they keep at the dock and we are able to use that. That worked out great for Connor and his stroller, and the rest of us too as we had lots of room to spread out and catch some nice fish.
