Connor turns 1

Connor turned 1 on the 22nd!

I'm a little bit behind at posting due to being busy with the holidays, etc. Will try to get Christmas pics done next. Anyway...Connor turned 1!! Our little man is 1 already. Since we had his party a few weeks ago, we still had to have another cake on his actual birthday. Grandpa Wicklund came down for supper and our neighbors Mickey and Shirley and Glen and Lilllie came over for cake. He received some nice birthday presents. Lillie made him this hat. Here he is sitting on Grandpa Mickey's lap and pointing to the big bag of animal crackers that Mickey and Shirley gave him. Mickey & Shirley made him the jumbo cupcake, which we let him dive into. I made the other cake. Reading his new book with Grandpa after getting all cleaned up after cakeSitting on Mom's lap. Reading with Glen and Lillie Too much birthday fun. Ready for bed.

Connor's 1st Birthday Party

This past weekend we celebrated Connor's upcoming 1st birthday. Since his actual birthday is on the 22nd, we celebrated early to squeeze it in amongst all of the holiday bustle. Grandpa Wicklund was nice and opened up his home and let us have the party there, since we have no room in our house and his is wayyyy bigger. The day turned into a whole weekend as my whole family came on Friday night and stayed until Sunday. We bombarded Grandpa Wicklund's house, literally. My parents and Crystal stayed until Monday due to the snowy weather. Connor received some nice presents and we even went to town and saw Santa Claus again. And had a horse drawn carriage ride. He spents lots of time playing with his cousin Izzabelle. It was a fun birthday weekend. I'm working on a slideshow with all of the pictures....maybe tomorrow I'll get that done.

Pictures from this past weekend

Mark with one of his pheasants from the weekend. Connor not sure about it. Grandma reading Connor books before bed.

Santa Claus Day

This past weekend we were down to my Mom and Dad's. Mark went pheasant hunting with a bunch of family and on Saturday my sister, Crystal, and I took Connor to Santa Claus Day in Okabena. They had crafts for the kids (we did a few) and each child received a nice gift. I wasn't sure how Connor would do since his nap time is usually around this time, but he did pretty good.

Playing with play dough. Auntie Crystal thought for sure that he needed to play with play dough. He has never played with played dough before. Yawning on Santa's lap What would you like for Christmas little boy? Hmmm, let me see. Posing with his gifts he received at Santa Claus day. Pretty nice things I'd have to say. Pretty excited for his new stuff.

Dada Da da da

A Week of Good Pictures

On Tuesday, we went to see Mark's Dad and helped him put up the Christmas tree.
Mark putting ornaments on the little evergreen.

Connor's new thrill is to crawl in and play under his walker.

Another new one is to watch what is cooking in the oven.
I think there was chicken cooking for supper this night.

Connor likes when Mickey, our neighbhor friend, stops over to visit. He has to feel his mustache

Thanksgiving Weekend

This past weekend for Thanksgiving we went to the cities and stayed in a hotel with my Mom's side of the family. We stayed there Thursday, Friday, and came home Saturday. We always have a good time visiting, playing cards, eating, shopping, etc. On Friday, some went early morning Christmas shopping and many go to the Mall of America in the afternoon. Connor was pretty much in awe of everything at the mall as we pushed him around in the stroller - all the people, the lights, the noises, music, etc. He rode the carousel. He did pretty well for the day....even without his afternoon nap. Check out the slideshow of pictures on the sidebar.
