Up North Vacation Anyone??

Anyone looking for a nice cabin by the lake for a summer getaway? Friends of ours, Hank & Carolyn, live on Spitzer Lake near us and they own a cabin next door to their home. They are looking for guests to come and enjoy their cabin/lake, etc. Following are details and a slideshow of pictures that I went and took:

Knotty pine interior

2 bedrooms - both with queen beds and one room also has a single bed

Nice large lawn area for yard games. The lawn is like carpet.

Cabin has deck and patio

There is a 14' fishing boat with 6 h.p. motor and also a paddleboat available for you to use

There is a fish cleaning house and fishing guide available if needed. Hank said that he could help with the fish cleaning if you aren't sure how to clean fish.

He also said to mention that he will have a fish fry one night (both Hank & Carolyn are very good cooks) and there will be fresh vegetables from his garden.

There is a barbecue grill and picnic table

There is also a bunkhouse right off of the dock for extra sleeping quarters. Has a queen size sofa sleeper and a double futon. This is a very nice little house as well. Has an oven and a fridge, but no running water. Check it out in the pictures above. Very nice!

Spitzer Lake is a good fishing lake. Hank says he catches fish right from his dock.

$800/week for up to 5 people. Shorter stays are negotiable. No smoking inside and they request no pets.

They are located on the east side of Spitzer Lake, which is 9 miles south of Battle Lake. Alexandria is a quick 35 minute drive.

Come and enjoy the lake. Hank & Carolyn are wonderful hosts and would love to have you come and enjoy their cabin and lake. Everything is very clean and well kept. You can call them directly at (218) 864-5873 or call or email me too if you have questions or want to reserve a stay.
