Future Duck Hunter?

Duck hunting started this past Saturday and Mark brought more food home for the family. They shot three on Saturday and Mark got these three in the photo on Sunday. Connor was all decked out in his camo sweatshirt in honor of the holiday weekend. :)

Gathering the crop

Yesterday, Mark had the day off of work so we went and dug our potatoes and carrots from the garden in the morning. We only planted a few potatoes and ended up with a good amount. We planted a whole row of carrots so we are stocked with carrots too. Connor helped. Well, he watched from his wagon. I had him bundled up pretty good as it was pretty cold out. We picked our pumpkins and hauled them up to the house too. We ended up with 8 from one plant. We tried to get Connor to stand by his pumpkin, but he was getting pretty antsy with us by then.

The produce inspector
He was not happy with us by this time.
We'll have to get another picture when he is in a better mood.

ECFE, Bookmobile, etc.

Today was another ECFE day. There were around 12 kids there today. I think Connor has fun watching and playing with the other kids. On the way home we stopped by the post office and the Bookmobile happened to be parked on the street. I'd never been to the Bookmobile up here. I think I was more excited than Connor. We found a few books for him and a few magazines and a movie for me.

Connor thinking he likes to stand instead of crawl

My view out of the kitchen window while I'm doing the dishes. This is the back lake that is behind the house. The trees are just starting to change colors here.

ECFE

Connor and I are trying out ECFE class (Early Childhood Family Education). Last week we went to Urbank and now yesterday we went to Henning. Since we live in the corner of three school districts, we can pretty much choose any of them since they are all pretty much the same, or close to the same, distance. It's a chance for Connor to be around other kids and for me to get out too. Only bad thing is....snotty nose kids. Eeek! He's already picked up a runny nose from the class last week. Ugh.

Doctor Visit

Almost forgot about his 9 month doctor visit today. All is good. He weighs 19 lbs, 11.5 oz and is 28 inches tall. His next visit now will be after Christmas. Seems like so far away....but then not really.

9 Months - After Bath Pictures

Here are a few photos of Connor in his jammies. We tried for a nice picture last night after his bath. He was in a little better mood this time.

Connor turns 9 months old

Connor turned 9 months old yesterday. I tried taking our monthly picture of him in our big blue chair and ooohhh how that has changed. He is more wiggly now and is a pickle to get him to sit nice and say cheese. He was not in a happy mood when I first tried for nice pictures in the morning. Had his hair combed nice and nice outfit on, etc. and he just didn't want me taking his picture. So, we waited til night after he had his bath and tried for another picture with his jammies on instead. These are the pictures I got the first time around:

I don't want my picture taken today.

I really don't like this, Mom!

I can see you're still pointing that camera at me.

Fine, take a picture of my butt then!
